Static and touring caravans require different types of insurance policy to cover different risks. Touring caravan risks include road collisions and accidents caused by side winds or incorrect loading as well as theft. A static caravan however is exposed to more risks from nature including flooding of the site and falling trees. Theft of caravan contents is common to both types.
